Welcome to NSU Tatort Hamburg, an independent initiative dedicated to remembrance, documentation, and the pursuit of truth regarding the crimes connected to the Nationalsozialistischer Untergrund (NSU) and their impact in Hamburg.
On June 27, 2001, Süleyman Taşköprü, a local shop owner in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld, was murdered as part of a series of racially motivated crimes committed by the NSU. His death represents not only a tragic act of extremist violence, but also a profound failure in institutional investigation and public recognition that persisted for years.
Despite official promises of full clarification, many questions surrounding the NSU complex in Hamburg remain insufficiently addressed. Critical examination of investigative processes, institutional responsibilities, and structural racism is still necessary to ensure transparency and accountability.
NSU Tatort Hamburg exists to:
- Preserve the memory of the victims and acknowledge their stories.
- Provide accessible documentation and research on the NSU crimes in Hamburg.
- Encourage public dialogue, critical reflection, and historical awareness.
- Advocate for complete transparency and responsible institutional review.
We believe that confronting historical truth is essential for building a society grounded in justice, equality, and respect. This project is not only about documenting the past. It is about fostering accountability in the present and strengthening democratic values for the future.
Thank you for visiting. We welcome engagement, collaboration, and shared commitment to remembrance and justice.
